To that end, we offer the following warning: make sure you install the proper plugin version for your browser! One of our beta testers (doing those things that beta testers are supposed to do), tried installing the Netscape Navigator version of the Crescendo plugin into Internet Explorer 4.0. To say that he was less than pleased with the results is to put it mildly. His installation mangled Internet Explorer, requiring a complete re-installation of the browser. (Not Microsoft's fault, not his fault, not anyone's fault--just an object lesson in something not to do.)
